Getting Started with Google Cloud – Fundamentals
The intent of this course is to provide practical guidance on how to get started with Google Cloud and be productive in the shortest possible time frame.
The concepts in the course are greatly simplified as compared to other courses, so even if you are new to the technology world or making a switch to the cloud, you should be able to understand the concepts and carry out the Lab exercises easily.
This is the foundation course on Google Cloud. Once you have completed the foundation course, you can enroll in the advanced course on Google Cloud – Getting Started with Google Cloud :Advanced Course; Kubernetes , Serverless, API Gateway and Security
Prerequisite for this course
Google Cloud Fundamentals
In this video, we cover the basics - Data Center, Region, and Zones
A Google Cloud project is a logical container to hold all the cloud resources for your project. Let's explore the details in this video.
Google Cloud has a service called Identity and Access Management (IAM), which allocates access to cloud resources. In this video, we will explore roles and access control in detail

What is Virtual Machine - Types of VM - Low Carbon Region VM And Google Compute Engine
In this video, we will continue with Cloud fundamentals topics. We will look into Virtual machines (VM) and types of VM.
All cloud providers provide a host of predefined VM types with a pre-built configuration like CPU/RAM and the purpose of these VMs, like compute-intensive or memory-intensive operations. In this video, we will go over the types of VM offered by Google Cloud.
Selecting the right type of VM based on your application requirements is an important step and it's often overlooked during development and production setup.
Think of VM Instance Groups as a group of VMs, which typically have the same specification and are managed as a single entity
In this video, we will go over what a Low Carbon region is and how you select a Low carbon region.
What Are Managed Services and Google Managed Databases
Managed services imply the cloud provider takes care of the complete lifecycle of the service. In this video, we would go over what managed service is.
In this video, we will look at the various managed database services offered by Google Cloud
